Oh no. He’s at it again. He’s going to hunt you down, and there will be no escape. All the people in this vicinity are about to be...creditless.
“_______! Would you like to buy anything, amigo?~”
“No Zacharie, I don’t need anything.”
“Nothing? How about...playing cards?”
“A pair of sunglasses?”
“A baseball bat, gently used?”
You considered it for a moment (you could always hit him upside the head with it) but you heard The Batter’s enraged yell from across the room and decided against it.
“Ah, well. I suppose there’s nothing I could sell you...” He looked at you, his mask surely hiding disappointment.
“Oh, it’s alright. C’mon, don’t be sad, i’ll give you some.” You sat him on a bench next to you and pulled some credits out from your pocket. Grabbing his hand, you opened his palm and gave him them. You didn’t know it, but he was blushing under his mask.
“Hey, um, _-_____?” He stuttered out.
“Mhmm?” you muttered, looking up at him. He stared back down at you for a few heartbeats as his brain went into overdrive.
Alright Zacharie, you can’t mess this up or you’ll make a fool of yourself; but how can you not make a fool of yourself around her? Jeez, how does she do that, i’m sure this isn’t my average heart rate, i’m so glad I wear this mask so she can’t see me blushing, oh my god oh my god i’m doing this i’m doing this i’m gonna confess my feelings for her we are doing this Zacharie we are doing this!
“Zacharie?” You asked, looking up at him curiously.
“I-I have something else to sell you...” He muttered.
“What would that be?”
“Oh, uh, well, I was wondering if-well, I thought I could maybe-would you like it if we were-oh, screw this.” He said hastily. With that, he swept down, his hands going to your shoulders and his lips to yours. They were soft and molded perfectly with yours. You heard him sigh into the kiss, like a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. As he broke the kiss, you smiled at him.
“You’re worth more than all the credits in the world, mon amour.” He said sweetly, pulling you into a tight hug. You smiled into the fabric of his soft, cream-colored sweater.
“I love you too, Zacharie.”
The sweet moment was suddenly interrupted by an angry Batter.
“ZACHARIE! DID YOU TAKE MY BAT!”
“Ohhh no. Run.” Zacharie said, grabbing your hand. He pulled you up from the bench and started running, you following him. “If you want it back, you gotta pay meee!~” He yelled playfully at the Batter. Still running, he turned his gaze to you.
“I like you and all, but I never said that kiss was free...”
“No.” He huffed. But he didn’t really care. Having you was better than the credits.
