A crack of thunder scared you closer to your matesprit as you huddled in his arms. He wasn't really afraid of the pouring rain and insanely loud thunderstorm which was making a racket outside the house, but you were, and that guaranteed that he wouldn't be moving from the couch for at least a few hours.
“Uh, _____, why are you so nervous? It’s just thunder,” Tavros questioned you as you shivered in his arms.
“I-it’s just t-t-terrifying with all the lightning and-” you squeaked and burrowed further into his chest as lightning struck and illuminated the sky for a split second. Tavros tightened his grip on you. He was determined to protect you from the storm (even though it was in no way going to hurt you two). He was reaching to grab a blanket when there was a fizzle and a snap. The lights blinked out around you two, and you were shrouded in darkness.
“God-fucking-dammit!” You yelled angrily.
“Hang on, i’ll go grab some, uh, flashlights, just wait for me here.” Tavros reassured you. You felt the weight in the couch leave and heard footsteps grow farther away from you. You snuggled up to the blanket he pulled over for you and waited for him to get back.
You wondered if you were starting to bother him. You hoped not, burrowing deeper into the blanket. You didn't know, but Tavros was quite enjoying being close to you.
“
Hey _____, I found this camping stove and hot chocolate mix, do you want some?” You perked up. Hot chocolate was the shit. Nearly sprinting to the kitchen, you nodded and took the camping stove and set it up while Tavros opened the can of the sweet chocolaty powder.
Pouring the rest of the milk into the cups(so it wouldn't go bad when the fridge was out, of course), you dumped heaping spoonfuls of mix into the mugs, making a mental reminder to buy milk next time you were out. You set the mugs on the stove and waited for it to heat
up.
Tavros brought in the blanket and wrapped it around yours and his shoulders. Pulling you close, he kissed your cheek gently, making you giggle.
Once the hot chocolate was done, he pulled you to the couch, mugs in hand.
“Tav, when do you think the power will come back on?” You asked him, slightly worried.
“It’ll, uh, be back on soon _____, we just have to wait.” He really didn't mind waiting with you.
You two sat there for hours, talking and laughing and cuddling and sometimes kissing waiting for the power to come on.
You’re not afraid of thunder anymore, but you don’t tell Tavros that.

Hot Chocolate ~ Dirk x Reader
"The Second Ice Age approaches. The temperatures will only get worse, leaving me and all I hold dear to the bitter wind and seething ice. I say my prayers, for I fear this may be the end. I can hear the mighty mammoths footsteps approaching already, my time draws near."
"[Name], would you get dressed and come down here please?"
The girl groaned from underneath her comforter, closing her journal and tucking the pen into the wire spiral.
"Yeah, give me a second!" she called back, throwing the blanket off of her and placing her book on the shelf where it belonged. The blinds were open, and when she glanced out all she saw was the icy window p

Sweater Weather. Kankri x Reader
"Okay, well, I'll see you guys later!" You walked towards the door as a few of your friends murmured sweet goodbyes.
"Ah,_____, wait a second."
The one and only Kankri Vantas hovered behind you.
"Yeah?" You asked, trying not to stare at his beautiful eyes and his adorably messy hair and his -
"I was just thinking that someone should walk you home. It's not safe to be walking outside alone at this time of night." He rocked back and forth on his heels.
"Oh, um,"
"I could walk you home. No one here appreciates my lectu- attempts at conversations anyways." He rolled his eyes and you giggled a bit.
"Alright, that sounds good." You opened th

So I write happy plotless OOC things to make myself feel better. Like cuddles and chocolate and cuteness and excessive amounts of alliteration.
